Let me tell you what’s going on!

Well guys, it’s been a little while since I’ve posted!

Let me tell you what’s been happening…

I got a promotion at work, which takes up a lot of my time but I am loving it! My baby girl turned 2 and has now declared that she is not a baby anymore. *Sobs uncontrollably into birthday cake*

The past few weeks I’ve also had a lot of bookish things going on such as critique reads and arcs which has taken a lot of my time too but from April, I’ll be cutting down on these considerably so I can focus on writing.

I’ve been working on a secret project which will be announced in a few weeks. I’ve also been working with a wonderful publicist – Claire from Hype That PR – who is helping me celebrate the first anniversary of Love & London.

So to say I’ve been busy is an understatement.

Before I dive into an update on my WIP, I’m happy to announce that I’ll be working with a wonderful editor called Aimee Walker and she is working with me from the start of this book which is amazing. She sent me a template for the outline and it really helped iron out the kinks and gave me a clear vision of the story, although I still don’t have an ending, but that’s neither here nor there. I’m sure it’ll come soon. *keeps everything crossed that this ending will come sooner rather than later*

Anyway, on to my WIP, it’s coming along nicely. As I say I’ve ironed out a lot of the kinks in the outline and experimented with writing style (single vs dual POV) so now I’m ready to start writing properly. The story is going to be dual POV, first person, present so we’ll get to deep dive into the minds of both lead characters – Liam and Harriet – as their thoughts occur. I find this has worked well in the planning stages as both characters have their own journey as well as their journey to accepting each other’s love.

My main goal while writing the first draft over the coming weeks is to not self-edit while I’m writing as this is a terrible habit of mine that I know is not productive.

As always, if you have any questions – my DMs are always open!
